My Process

  1. Step I - ANALYSIS

Detailed definition of the problem to be solved by means of the preliminary investigation of the context in which the SW product must fit, the characteristics that has to exhibit, costs and the logistical aspects of its implementation. At the end of the phase you will create a document that describes the characteristics of the system, this document is defined specification document.

  2. Step II - DESIGN

Definition with a good level of detail of the solution (from architectural design to the detailed design) according to the requirements outlined in the analysis phase. In this phase it will be developed a document that will allow to have a definition of the maximum structure (architecture of high level) and a definition of the characteristics of the individual components (modules).

  3. Step III - IMPLEMENTATION

Realization of one or more programs in a given programming language, though they may also be involved different technologies (e.g., databases, scripting languages etc ...). Its purpose is to get the concrete realization of the solution advocated in the design phase.

  4. Step IV - TEST

Verification and measurement of how the product meets the requirements identified in the analysis phase. This phase can be formed from two sub activity, testing of the individual modules and testing of the integrated system and every aspect of the software may be interested in specific tests.

  5. Step V - DELIVERY

Installation of the SW product infrastructure usable by users running. This activity can range from simply copying a file, the appropriate copy many files organized in a complex hierarchy of directories and SW components, possibly distributed on different hardware.

  6. Step VI - MAINTENANCE

The activities necessary for the SW product change after the release, in order to correct errors (corrective), adapt to new operating environments or extend it (evolutionary). Any change to the SW necessarily involves new testing, is possibly related to the new features introduced, is designed to ensure that the changes have not affected existing functionality (regression testing).
